The Local Police of San Javier creates a specialized unit for the development in the municipality of the Police Guardian Program (22/06/2018)

The City Council of San Javier has adhered to the Police Tutor Program of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, FEMP, for its implementation in the municipality from the next school year, through the Local Police of San Javier where a Specialized unit coordinated by Corporal Francisco Angosto Soto.

Corporal Francisco Angosto accompanied by the Officer-Head of the Local Police of San Javier, Salvador Angosto has met with the management teams of the educational centers of the municipality to inform them of the details of the program to which the centers must adhere to formalize the relationship of mutual collaboration, so that agents can intervene both outside and inside the centers.

Francisco Angosto explained that although the Local Police of San Javier already assumed many of the functions and tasks of the Tutoring Agents, from now on the program of the FEMP will be followed, through which the agents of San Javier have been specifically trained. will be part of this special unit.

The prevention and the close collaboration between the centers and the agents will mark the lines of action that include the intervention and resolution of conflicts including risk behaviors related to minors both inside and outside the school.

Ensure the safeguarding of the rights of minors, in all fields, as well as for their physical integrity that will involve the drafting of reports that improve safety in the environment of the centers, or sessions in the Road Safety Park, will be committed The Police Tutors who will also work in areas such as new technologies and internet, absenteeism, surveillance of any type of abuse, begging, abandonment and any conflict in which a minor is involved.

Among the objectives is also to eliminate prejudices towards the local police force and to ensure that children from a young age see the agents as someone close to whom they can turn to in any situation in search of help, explains Corporal Francisco Angosto, about a program that also aims to be an aid for the centers in the resolution of any conflict or anomalous situation that affects a minor.
