Jazz San Javier presents a French accent night, with accordionist Ludovic Beier, and the best American sound with Travellin Brother "s Little Band (06/07/2018)

Ludovic Beier, one of the most outstanding and creative French accordionists returns to Jazz San Javier, which in 2011 hosted his presentation in Spain, and does so accompanied by the Montmartre Quartet and a luxury guest and compatriot, Pierre Blanchard, one of the best jazz violinists from the neighboring country that premieres at the festival in a concert with a strong French accent.

Ludovic Beier brings together technique, lyricism and an exquisite taste for jazz that, together with his manifest French heritage, make him an original and unique musician, with a great charisma on stage.

Beier follows the lead of the great maestro Richard Galliano giving continuity to the sound, not very frequent, of the accordion in jazz.

The quartet is completed with Pierre Goulalch on piano, Gautier Laurent on double bass and Fred Delestre on drums, to which is added as guest artist Pierre Blanchard, a musician of great classical training, who has developed his career in the world of jazz, and that has attracted widespread recognition, such as that of Stéphane Grappelli himself, one of the greatest jazz violinists of the 20th century.

The Travellin Brother's from Bizkaia will star in the second concert of the night with their Little Band, composed of nine musicians and three guests, with whom they will present their new album "13th Avenue South", number 8 in the 15-year career of this band. Vizcaya passionately dedicated to traditional American music, especially blues.

On a constant tour with a great international projection, the Travellin Brother's have shared the stage with great blues stars such as Buddy Guy, John Mayall and Johnny Winter, among others.

In their last album, recorded with the prestigious producer Brad Jones in Nashville, they are more inclined to black sounds among which there is no lack of blues, gospel, jazz and swing, without forgetting folk or country.

Lovers of tradition and classics, the winning band in 2015 of the prestigious "European Blues Challenge", provides the perspective of a 21st century band when it comes to performing, both in recording and live, reaching the audience without shortcuts. their concerts from beginning to end.

The Little Band, composed of nine musicians, this time has three special guests, the New York guitarist Alex Schultz, the Finnish blues singer Ina Forsman and the British guitarist and singer Ian Siegal.
