The Councilor for Health Catalina Pérez and the president of the Spanish Association against Cancer San Javier, Antonio Cerezuela today encouraged participation in the Sixth Solidarity March "Let's take a step against Cancer" during the presentation of the charity event to be held next Sunday September 30 in San Javier.
The president of the Spanish Association against Cancer San Javier, Antonio Cerezuela explained that the March, for which they have already sold more than 1000 numbers, will leave from the Plaza de España in San Javier where participants have been summoned at 10am .
The tour, which will be done on foot, goes to El Peregrino, in Santiago de la Ribera, to return to the Plaza de España where a bicycle will be raffled among all the participants who will be able to regain strength with free legs and refreshments.
The numbers, which are sold for five euros, can be purchased in advance through the members of the Association, as well as in different commercial establishments of San Javier, and before the departure of the March, explained Antonio Cerezuela.
Each participant will receive a backpack with information about the services of the regional and local AECC that has a fixed location in calle Archena, 16 in San Javier.
The Councilor for Health Catalina Pérez, recalled the importance of research in the fight against cancer and the charitable initiatives that contribute in this regard as the Solidarity March organized by the Association of San Javier to which he thanked the work they develop throughout of the year in the municipality.
Antonio Cerezuela recalled that the headquarters opens every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an advisory service and by prior appointment a service of attention and a social worker.
The president of the Agrupación de San Javier also announced the start-up of a 24-hour telephone that will operate from October 1.
Cerezuela, who thanked the collaboration of the City of San Javier, the sponsoring companies and the people involved, recalled that the Solidarity March against Cancer was born in San Javier six years ago as an initiative that has been extended to many of the municipalities Murcia that also celebrate it successfully.
