The Museum of San Javier shows Manuel Páez's most recent work within the Exhibition Space Plan (04/10/2018)

The exhibition of Manuel Páez 'Paradisus desruidos' opens today (9:00 pm) its doors in the Museum of San Javier, a space that is added to the Exhibition Space Plan launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to promote the talent of the creators of the Region.

The exhibited works are a sample of the most recent work of Páez, who deals with varied topics.

Works with classical and mythological references, portraits, self-portraits and some landscape make up this selection, in which there is also space for play and for the imagination that awakens a certain sense of unreality that encloses the paintings.

The Calasparrian author, with a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, has worked for more than 15 years with the Valencian gallery Vai i 30, with which he has made numerous exhibitions and participated in art fairs such as ARCO and Art Madrid.

He has been an associate professor in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Murcia and, currently, he teaches the subject of Anatomical Sculpture.

He has received different scholarships and recognitions for his work and his work is part of the collections of different municipalities of the Region and Valencia, as well as other national and international ones such as the Infanta Isabel Theater in Madrid, the European Museum of Modern Art of Barcelona (MEAM) or the Museum of Dance of Havana (Cuba).

70 artists from the Region

For this second edition of the Exhibition Space Plan, a total of 138 artists from all over the Region were presented, of which 70 were finally selected. Their works can be seen in the 56 samples that are being organized throughout the year in thirty municipalities with which the regional government collaborates to form a broader cultural program and bring contemporary art to citizens.

The exhibition 'Desirous Paradises' will remain open until next November 4, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m .: 30 hours.
