The Councilor for Public Services, María Dolores Ruiz and the coordinator of the EDUSI San Javier, Milagros Villaescusa attended on October 15 in Benidrom the VIII Plenary of the Network of Urban Initiatives (RIU) in which they exchanged experiences on the execution of the Urban Strategies in the programming period 2014-2020, within which is the Strategy of Sustainable Urban Development and Integrator (EDUSI) of "San Javier, A Living City".
The conference was developed in two parts, one in the morning in which representatives of several municipalities, such as Murcia and Barcelona, ​​presented the mechanisms, indicators and other issues raised to meet the milestones set for the end of the year, and another in the afternoon. with two working groups, one on the Spanish Urban Agenda, and the other on the Thematic Objective 2 of the EDUSIS, which is related to the improvement of the Electronic Administration.
Subsequently, a meeting was held at the City Hall of San Javier with those responsible for the Technical Assistance that the City has as support for the selection and monitoring of operations to be carried out within the framework of the Implementation Plan of EDUSI to establish the deadlines and operations that must be fulfilled in the present and later years.
The "San Javier, a Living City" Strategy was selected in the first call in December 2016 with 80% financing through the 2014-2020 FEDER Sustainable Growth Operational Program, with an aid of 4,999,134 euros.
