The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the operation 'Rontor', has identified, located and detained the alleged perpetrator of several robberies committed in the vicinity of banking entities in San Javier.
Effective Prevention of Citizen Security of the Benemérita began the operation to investigate several crimes of theft of cash committed in the vicinity of banks in San Javier, apparently, by the method of 'cogotero'.
According to the investigation, the author carried out surveillance of the areas near where banking offices are located to select their possible victims.
Specifically where they parked their vehicle before making cash withdrawals, to later subtract the money.
Some facts that generated some social alarm in the coastal town, due to the presentation of various complaints coinciding with the beginning of the month, the date on which the payroll is collected.
In this case, the 'cogotero' method was carried out, after monitoring the victim and his vehicle, puncturing a wheel of the latter with a steel needle.
Later the victims left the banks with the money extracted and started the march with their vehicle with the punctured tire.
When they were out of town and away from the population, the delinquents warned their targets that they had a flat tire, offering them to help him take advantage of an oversight and steal the bag with the money.
This method is in constant evolution and as in this case, the now arrested allegedly used frequency inhibitors to control the automatic closures of the vehicles, adding a plus technology to perpetrate the thefts and access the interior of the vehicles.
Parallel to the investigation of the reported facts, the Civil Guard increased the police presence in the most susceptible places to commit this type of crime in order to detect or abort any similar event.

One of these devices gave rise to the sighting of one of these criminals inside a vehicle using the frequency inhibitor, achieving the civil guards to frustrate the consummation of the crime, an action that culminated in the arrest of the suspect.
The arrested, who is attributed to the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of vehicle theft and robbery, has numerous records for similar crimes, in addition to being wanted for thefts in the town of Villajoyosa Alicante, another of the places where allegedly acting this offender .
During the detention of the suspect, the Civil Guards seized two mobile telephones, a frequency inhibitor and a homemade punch, all supposedly used in the development of the enlightened criminal activity.
So far, the Civil Guard has clarified three crimes, but continues with the operation open, not ruling out the implication of the arrested now in more criminal acts.
