A score of foreign women, mothers of students of the CEIP "La Paz" have participated in the Spanish course that has been held throughout the course in the facilities of the school itself taught by volunteers from Banco del Tiempo de San Javier.
The students, all of them Moroccans, thanked the volunteers and those responsible for the educational center for the opportunity they have given them to learn or improve their Spanish with a lunch prepared by them to dismiss the course in an act that ended with the presentation of diplomas .
The Councilor for Education and Volunteering acting, Catalina Perez attended the event with the director of the center, José Manuel Cánovas and responsible for the AMPA, who collaborate with the initiative that is successfully held for the second year and which is intended to resume in the course next.
The Spanish course for mothers and fathers of students of the center has consisted of two weekly classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning.
The collaboration of the Bank of Time with the school and the AMPA has also allowed to offer classes of educational reinforcement to the students of 3rd and 5th, while the 4th and 6th graders had the regional reinforcement program.
In addition to the CEIP "La Paz", the school of El Mirador has also counted this course with the collaboration of the volunteers of the Banco del Tiempo with a Spanish course for families of students of the center who needed it.
