The Bibliobús visits one more Santiago de la Ribera summer, where every Tuesday it opens its doors in the Barnuevo esplanade from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with more than 50,000 volumes of different narrative genres and aimed at a wide range of readers, with a significant presence of children's literature and youth.
The Bibliobús that will be operative until the end of August allows the loan of up to two titles for a period of 15 days presenting the reader card although you can also obtain one at the time by presenting the DNI.
The councilman of Culture, David Martinez, who visited the library accompanied by the library coordinator, Toni Diaz, thanked the collaboration of the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage through this initiative that one more summer brings the Regional Library to the beaches facilitating reading to citizens of all ages.
In this regard, he recalled the municipal initiatives that also help to get books out on the street during the summer.
Toni Díaz highlighted the success of the "Lecturas chiringuiteras" with free books deposited in the beach bars of Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga del Mar Menor, as well as the posts that in the weekly markets of both towns leads the library that distributes titles Discontinued and donated free of charge among the interested public.
