Hearty welcome to Miguel Madrid on his arrival in San Javier after crowning the roof of the world Everest (31/05/2016)

Miguel Madrid yesterday received the warmth and affection of colleagues, friends and neighbors who came to meet him at the Plaza of Spain which peered from the balcony of the City of San Javier where, previously, was received by the mayor, José Miguel Luengo , in a ceremony also attended by the Director General of Sports, Alonso Gómez, colleagues and friends.

Bypassing home with his girlfriend and his parents, Miguel came directly from Madrid Airport to the City of San Javier where he signed the Golden Book. The mayor, who showed him "the pride that has meant for all to see with our flag on the roof of the world ", gave him a shield of San Javier with the commemorative legend of his ascent of Everest.

Surrounded by his fellow Club Nightjar, Nicolas Zapata and Ernesto Martinez, who prepared a warm welcome;

Arturo Pineda, president of the Mountaineer Club of Murcia, which also owns Miguel;

President of the Murcian Federation of mountaineering, Luis Rios, authorities and family, Miguel Madrid appeared on the balcony of City Hall hailed by its neighbors.

Miguel Madrid acknowledged having had the experience of his life, both in relation to the mountain as on a personal level.

Although always remembered San Javier, she said, that he passed that point where only mountain peaks are always looked westward, looking San Javier and getting the energy I needed to go.

Arturo Pineda, president of the Mountaineer Club of Murcia, claimed that Miguel has done it "by the head he has, because he climbs Everest head."

Waiting to Miguel also were his fellow Chorus and Dance Group of San Javier which is part as a musician, and they put some music to welcome the first and only sanjaviereño getting crowned the 8848 meters of Everest, and the second mountaineer the Federation of Murcia to get it.
