The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo met yesterday with representatives of the Red Cross in the region of Murcia with which discussed the forthcoming opening of Red Cross headquarters in San Javier will be located in a local municipal building Multipurpose whose use will be provided by the Council, he explained the mayor after the meeting which also involved the councilors of Public Safety, Teresa Foncuberta and Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa.
The meeting was attended by the regional vice president of Red Cross, Gabriel Motorcycles, the coordinator, Juan Antonio Balsalobre and Secretary José Luis Mora, along with the president of the Regional Assembly Mar Menor Norte, José Cortés Carmona, who moved to the municipal representatives their intends to expand and implement services in the municipality related to volunteering, training and social, principally aid.
Luengo welcomed the interest shown by the healthcare organization to improve and expand its presence in the municipality, which already provides assistance from the Regional Assembly Mar Menor North also telecare service for the elderly, and was confident that the fact of fixed location, enabling them to optimize services already are paying and implement new ones, for the benefit of the whole community.
