The Emerging Art Festival, Imagina, opens the deadline for the presentation of projects for the 2017 edition (28/11/2016)

The Festival publishes the catalog of 2016 and presents the new poster

The young art festival "Imagina", which for 14 years has been organized by the Department of Youth, warms up engines for the next edition with the opening, from today, of presenting projects until February 24, 2017, the presentation of the New poster and the publication of the Catalog Imagina 2016.

The Councilor for Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa and the director of the festival, Alberto García presented today the catalog that reproduces the 29 projects selected last year with images of Carlos Nicolás, and design by Josefina Marín.

The 500 published copies can be obtained in the council of Youth and in the regional library of Murcia.

In the presentation, the author of the new poster for Imagina 2017, Carlos Nicolás, explained that the poster "is a visual synthesis of what happens at the festival, which plays with the concept of mind and feelings to interpret the language of the art".

Alberto García announced that as a novelty this year it will be possible to formalize the registration of projects through the website of the festival www.imagina.sanjavier.es where you can also consult the bases of the competition open to artistic projects of any discipline, individually Or collective.

Garcia was hopeful to reach the success of last year when dozens of national and international proposals were received, which arrived even from the American continent.

On March 2 will be announced the projects selected to participate in the next edition of the festival to be held from 5 to 9 April 2017

The Councilor for Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa referred to the commitment of the City of San Javier with culture through festivals and other artistic manifestations without leaving aside emerging art that encourages participation among young people, as with Imagina.

Masegosa also highlighted the social and integrative nature of Imagina "with the participation of groups such as Aidemar, or the RafaPuede Foundation, as well as Apex, from Cartagena."
