The 6th Festival of Music Bands "Villa de San Javier" brings together the White Musical Group and the San Javier Symphonic Band (12/09/2017)

Next Saturday, September 16, the VI Festival of Music Bands "Villa de San Javier" will be held in San Javier with the participation of the Musical Group of Blanca and the San Javier Symphonic Band, which organizes the event with the collaboration of the council of Culture of the City of San Javier.

The mayor of Culture David Martinez and the President of the Band of San Javier Gregorio González presented this morning the Festival that will begin at 19:00 with a parade of the two bands on the Spanish Aviation Avenue, from the Local Police barracks to the Conservatory, from where he will go to the auditorium of the Almansa Park where the concert will take place with free admission.

The Band of White, directed by Víctor Cano will interpret the passodoble "The Rodana" of Ferrer Ferrán;

pieces of the zarzuelas "El barberillo de Lavapiés" and "La Gran Vía" and "Sevilla" of the Spanish Suite Op.47 of Isaac Albéniz.

The Band of San Javier will also begin with a passodoble, "Puenteareas", by Reveriano Soutullo, with a program that includes the symphonic work "Cançsons de mare" by Rafael Talens Pelló, and a selection of "Carmen" by Bizet.

Gregorio González highlighted the youth of the two participating bands whose musicians, about 50 in each, have an average age of 18 years.

The Councilor for Culture invited the public to enjoy symphonic music and attend the concert to coincide with the 181st anniversary of the City of San Javier.
