The library of San Javier will enter in the autumn with an intense program of activities that includes an encounter with the public of the Argentine writer Jorge Bucay (19/09/2017)

The presence of the Argentine writer Jorge Bucay in a meeting with his readers next November 18 will be one of the highlights of the program of activities prepared by the municipal library of San Javier for the fall season.

The councilman of Culture David Martinez and the coordinator of libraries Toni Diaz presented this morning the program that includes a cycle of bilingual storytelling, a cycle of black cinema, lectures, book presentations, exhibitions, and the traditional "Noche de Poco Miedo" among many.

The presence of Jorge Bucay is part of the program "A book, a city" that in this edition is dedicated to his book "Let me tell you", a recommended reading for all the population that on November 18 at 7 pm occasion to comment with its author in the civic center of the Park Almansa de San Javier.

The success of the public harvested by the cycle of bilingual stories last year has made repeat the experience with appointments recommended for children from 5 to 8 years old on Saturdays at 12 noon from October 7 to November 18.

The black and police genre will have a prominent presence with a film series, on Monday in October, which will be completed with a talk, on October 21, by the Chief Commissioner of the National Police of Cartagena, Ignacio del Olmo, who also is a great black novelist.

In addition, a round table will be held on October 17 under the title "San Javier en Negro", in which the writers from Murcia, Cristóbal Terrer, Víctor M. Mirete and Alfonso Gutiérrez, and the 2017 Prize of the International Competition of Black Novel Getafe, Jesus Tíscar, as guest, in the room Babiah, of Santiago de la Ribera.

In the days leading up to Halloween night, the "Noche de Poco Miedo" (Night of Little Fear) will be held in which a maximum of 30 children between the ages of 7 and 10 will be able to spend the night in the library's setting with two monitors / actors.

Among many other activities the reading club has organized a cineforum monthly, and continues the "Encounter between Cultures" in which neighbors of San Javier who have traveled to some distant destination share their experience and photographs with the public helped by a native of the country provided by the library.

The first appointment will be on Friday the 22nd and will be dedicated to California with Charo Poveda.

The program, which is always open to new members, is scheduled to have a session dedicated to Paraguay with Fina Grau.

The poet Toni García Arias will offer a literary evening on October 21 in which he will present his first novel "Mentiras" in Casa Barnuevo.

Also scheduled for November is a Book Folding workshop and Christmas wreaths with recycled paper, a talk by the historian Francisco Moreno and an exhibition by the Chilean painter Adolfo Vásquez Rocca.

The Councilor for Culture David Martínez claimed the role of culture of the Library and invited the population to join the many activities that have been organized taking into account the demand of all ages.
