A total of 350 students of Bachiller of the municipality and other points of the region have attended this morning in the theater of the center "Prince of Asturias", of Santiago de la Ribera to the representation by Alquibla Theater of "The house of Bernarda Alba" , by Federico García Lorca, which tonight will be performed again for the general public at 9:30 p.m. on the same stage.
The double representation, scheduled by the Department of Culture of the City of San Javier, will arrive in San Javier today in more than 600 people, said the mayor David Matínez highlighted the municipal government's effort to "break the cultural seasonality with shows like this one of Alquibla of a work summit of Lorca with which the Murcian group obtained a nomination to the Max Prizes in the category of Best Revelation Show ".
Martinez pointed out the commitment of his department to continue programming "first-rate shows throughout the year, expanding the cultural offer of the municipality, with special emphasis on young audiences to generate a love for the performing arts, bringing young people to the theater and in this case to the staging of one of the literary works studied in their subjects of Language and Literature.
"The house of Bernarda Alba" is one of the most successful productions of Alquibla Teatro, the veteran Murcia theater company that represents since 2013 this Lorca tragedy with a powerful female cast directed by Antonio Saura that brings an existentialist vision to this rural drama that symbolizes the repression of the inner desire for freedom.
Tickets for tonight's performance can be purchased at the box office starting at 8:30 p.m.
