The Tapa de San Javier Route, which this year celebrates its tenth edition, starts today November 10 with 36 stores that are prepared to serve thousands of tapas and cocktails until December 6.
One more year, the Route will serve to warm up the motors of the patron saint festivities of San Javier that this year will open a new festive venue, with greater capacity, outside the Almansa Park.
A week before the festive program begins, a total of 31 bars and restaurants inaugurate a Route that every year mobilizes thousands of people who follow a recognizable gastronomic route in which you can find tapas and drinks for 2.5 euros that go from the classic assorted toasts or mini pizzas, to more sophisticated ones such as Iberian sirloin with cokep sauce and chocolate and potato bombon, and novelties such as fried octopus, vegetables and spices.
The route includes some churros with chocolate, and desserts such as a chocolate cake and cream or Jijona delights, plus five cocktails to be served for 3 euros, with classics such as mojito, irish coffee, or the enigmatic "tómatelo" .
As every year, the public will be able to vote for the best tapas by stamping their booklet, which can be found in the participating bars, with each drink.
To enter the raffle for different prizes among the participating public it will be necessary to have 15 stamps, and if you want to choose the first prize, which consists of a weekend for two people with full board, you will have to fill in at least 22 boxes.
