The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo and councilor Carlos Albaladejo received today at the City Council a group of 14 students, all girls between 13 and 17 years old, from the city of Helensburgh, Scotland, which these days are exchange in the municipality, with students of the IES "Mar Menor".
The Scottish students, who enjoy the marked change in temperature they found upon arrival in San Javier last Saturday, stay with the families of the local students who will return the visit to Helensburg in March 2018.
The linguistic and cultural exchange will last for a week, until next Friday, with teaching activities at the IES "Mar Menor", and visits like today to San Javier, or those to Cartagena and Murcia.
The IES "Mar Menor" and the Hermitage Academy of Helensburgh celebrate this linguistic and cultural exchange for six years among their Secondary Education students who study English and Spanish at their respective centers.
