The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo and the Councilor of Sports Estíbaliz Masegosa received today in the City Hall Phap Lu, considered a world eminence of ITF Taekwon-Do on the occasion of his participation in an International Seminar of Taekwon-Do to be held in the pavilion "María Teresa López", of the IES "Ruiz de Alda", during the weekend with the presence of athletes from all over Spain and seven countries such as England, Argentina, Ukraine, Canada and Croatia, among others.
Phap Lu, who has been a disciple of the global founder of ITF Taekwon-Do, General Choi, Hon Hi, was accompanied by Alfredo G. Pérez García, representative in Spain of this discipline and director of the Technical School Taekwon-Do Original-ITF, with headquarters in San Javier and Murcia, which organizes the event, with the collaboration of the City of San Javier.
Also present were the brothers Nicolás and Lucas Pérez Gleneu, Murcia and several champions of Spain and World Cup.
Phap Lu defined the ITF Taekwon-Do, as "an art, a sport, a philosophy and a way of life" and highlighted the importance of this discipline considered "a formative martial art" in the formation of the youngest especially from the 4 at 14 years.
Phap Lu thanked the hospitality provided by San Javier and gave an honorary black belt title of Taekson-Do ITF to the mayor and Councilor for Sports.
The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo thanked the organization for thinking in San Javier to celebrate this seminar that attracts dozens of athletes from throughout Spain and foreign countries and reiterated the commitment of San Javier with sports and municipal collaboration for future events with the organization of this Seminar that is celebrated on 25 and 26 in the pavilion of the IES "Ruiz de Alda".
