The pilots of the Eagle Patrol attended this morning in Santiago de la Ribera to the inauguration of the playground that bears his name where they photographed and signed autographs to the children who could enjoy a themed park in which even the slides are airplanes and in which the control tower is not missing.
The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo inaugurated the park in a ceremony attended by the colonel of the AGA Miguel Ivorra and the general director of Water, Miguel Ángel del Amor who praised the initiative of the City of San Javier to install a playground on one of the three environmental tanks that counts the town as one of the protection barriers of the Mar Menor.
The children's enclosure occupies the surface of the first of the storm tanks built in the town next to the Barnuevo beach and the AGA site.
The Councilor for Parks and Gardens Maria Dolores Ruiz presented the campaign for 2018 of the program of animation of municipal parks "In your park or in mine" that has begun the year with a massive attendance of families with children in the new park endowed with a nearby, rubber floor and several themed games presided over by a mural with the patrol planes on which all the pilots have signed their signature.
As in each of the monthly appointments of the campaign "In your park or in mine" both children and adults had their healthy breakfast and a show, this time with the candy magician.
The initiative, which includes a suggestion box to continue improving the playgrounds, will be repeated every month in a different park in the municipality, as has been done successfully since 2016.
Mayor José Miguel Luengo thanked the pilots of the Águila Acrobatic Patrol "who is an icon for San Javier especially loved by all" and pointed out that the new park is another tribute from San Javier to the Patrol and the AGA of the who recalled that this year celebrates its 75th anniversary.
The colonel director of the AGA, Miguel Ivorra thanked the recognition in a year of celebration in which among other commemorative acts will be held at the beginning of June a large international air show.
