The surplus for 2017 is destined to the renewal of asphalting and pavements in different parts of the municipality (21/02/2018)

The surplus of the accounts of the City of San Javier of 2017 has allowed to start a total of 17 actions of renovation of pavement in road and sidewalks in different parts of the municipality with a total investment of 875,000 euros that will allow to renew 49.264m2 of pavement, 2.193m2 of bike path, 4.683m2 of sidewalks, and recover 709 m² of rural roads, next to the continuation of the avenue that occupies the median of Neptuno Avenue, in San Javier.

The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo, accompanied by the Councilor for Public Services, María Dolores Martínez yesterday presented the works in the neighborhood of Los Pescadores, in Santiago de la Ribera, where they visited with the neighbors the works that are carried out in the neighborhood that will allow completing the renovation of sidewalks.

The set of all the works, which are already being executed since last December 28 by the company Gonzalez Soto, have an execution period of four months, so they will be completed by the end of April.

Among the actions underway is the renovation of the pavement of Pinatar Avenue, which includes a road and bike path, in the direction of the Dos Mares shopping center, as well as La Paloma Avenue and Mirador Avenue.

Likewise, parking areas will be set up behind the Court, and in the cemetery, and performances on Rufino Quesada, Sierra Nevada, Alicante, Almeria, Teruel-Zaragoza, Nogal and Cerezo streets in San Javier.

In addition to the Los Pescadores neighborhood, San Martín de Porres and Fragata streets will also be renovated in Santiago de la Ribera.

Likewise, the "E" and "O" polygons are operated in La Manga and in the rural roads of Las Casicas, Los Elías, Los Ruices and Los Hernández.

The works that are carried out simultaneously in different parts of the municipality include the continuation of the walk over the median of the Neptune avenue with a paved path in the center, flowerpots with trees on the sides and artificial grass on the margins throughout Avenue.

The mayor José Miguel Luengo stressed that the total investment possible from last year's surplus goes to improve the streets and sidewalks of the municipality which adds to other investments planned in the 2018 budgets to continue with the improvement and urban renewal in the public roads of the municipality.
