The Department of Health and the Sprineco company, which is responsible for the service of collecting abandoned animals and found on public roads in the municipality of San Javier, today culminated a campaign of awareness for children living with pets with a talk in the CEIP "Fulgencio Ruiz" directed to children of 4th and 5th of Primary.
The talk focuses on the duty to take good care of domestic animals, especially dogs, with aspects related to food, care and health care, civic behavior, breeds and dangerous dogs.
The children also received the message that a dog is not a toy and that before giving, adopting or buying a dog you have to ask yourself if you can face the responsibility that comes with having a pet at home and act accordingly, as a way of avoid, among other things, the abandonment of animals.
