The mayor of San Javier has issued a Proclamation in which he makes a special appeal to all those people who feel they are descendants of the first families living anywhere in the township from 1836, which established the council San Javier whose 175th anniversary is celebrated during 2011.
The purpose of the appeal is a tribute and recognition to mark the 175 anniversary, the City made to the descendants of the first official residents of the municipality of San Javier, and according to the official census of 1836 amounted to 2,300 people.
The pattern, which has been transcribed due to poor condition, and is available on the website of the City Council.
Pepa García explained that although it is doing some tracking of known families, the pattern is very wide and impossible to complete the search which encourages residents to check the registry (www.sanjavier.es) and formally, if recognition as descendants of the first families enrolled in the census of 1836.
May do so in person at the municipal archives or via email 175@sanjavier.es.
Mayor Bando end, encouraging residents to participate in this initiative that will help recover some of our past and to recognize and celebrate our elders, trying at the same time, strengthen the collective statement items and be citizens aware of their history and therefore the possibilities for their future.
