The Official Language School San Javier opens a European seminar on the use of literature in learning Spanish as a foreign language (10/07/2013)

The Official Language School San Javier Grundtvig host seminar entitled "Learning Spanish through literature," after receiving the highest score among the seven Spanish institutions to which they have been approved convening seminar 2012 European Programmes Officer, explained its director Maria Angeles Martinez-Abarca.

Education Councilwoman San Javier, Catalina Perez attended the inauguration of the seminar at a ceremony attended by the Director General of HR and counseling Educational Quality of Education, Training and Employment, Joaquin Buendia, the head of service Specialised Education, Mercedes Thomas, and Chief Innovation Service and Teacher Training, Francisco Javier Hidalgo, among others.

Students Seminar participants from Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Poland and Portugal, and has a diverse profile ranging from education, tourism, public administration , European project leaders, academics and retired.

The seminar is run by Pedro Antonio Férez Mora, professor of Foreign Language Teaching in the Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia and professor in the Department of Languages ​​of the same, and Bas Cristina Bernal, professor at the School of Art Dramatic Malaga.

The authors to be discussed during the seminar are Lope de Vega, José Hierro, Federico Garcia Lorca, Nicolas Guillen Sarduy, Isabel Allende, Gabriel García Márquez and Sanchis Sinisterra.

The literature argues that seminar is a perfect framework to develop linguistic horizons, cultural and personal enrichment that all teaching of Spanish as a foreign language should integrate.
