The City Council renewed cooperation agreements with the Coral St. James, the musician-Cultural San Javier, and the People's Association Cultural Carnival in Santiago de la Ribera Group (25/06/2014)

The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez today signed the renovation of three cooperation agreements between the City of San Javier and Coral St. James, which was represented by Sebastíán Moya;

Musician's Association Cultural San Javier, represented by its President Gloria Bello, Carnival and Popular Cultural Association of Santiago de la Ribera, which signed its president, Jose Carrio.

Juan Martinez stressed the importance of this collaboration with "associations and non-profit entities that collaborate actively in the cultural, social and artistic revitalization of the town of San Javier."

The Coral St. James will receive $ 3,000 for the maintenance of its activity within the municipality where they offer recitals and concerts throughout the year, and was named as the town where they go, said the Mayor.

Sebastian Moya thanked economic aid "that allows us to continue to promote choral singing as we have been doing since 1992," and announced an upcoming exit to Guadalajara, where they will perform, as is usual, in a parish dedicated to St. James.

In the case of the Cultural Association Musician of San Javier, the funding will also be 3,000 euros as help for their continued presence "in whatever actions are required," said the Mayor, who congratulated the president for the quality achieved by the Banda.

Gloria Bello, explained that the band acts as a link to the Conservatory without forgetting the social work that involves the gathering of young and living in the field of music.

The association is responsible for keeping alive the carnival of Santiago de la Ribera, get 16,000 euros, to maintain and improve what has already become a tourist attraction.

Jose Carrio praised the "vital" support to further progress and improve not only in organizing the parade and carnival in February but Summer Carnival this year will be held on Saturday, August 2 with a parade through the Paseo Colon and Avenida Sandoval , with the finale Barnuevo esplanade.
