Valcárcel evokes the strong ties between the Spanish military aircraft to the region (01/10/2008)

First flight of a military flying boat in Los Alcazares

Among the most prominent, recalled the first flight of a military flying boat in Spain, an event that took place on November 22, 1915 at the base of Los Alcazares.

Other memorable events associated with the base of San Javier are the foundation on July 4, 1985 of the Eagle Patrol, one of the most prestigious acrobatic formations in the world whose pilots are the same instructors for the Academy, and holding in their facilities Festival aircraft 'Air 06', regarded as Europe's best in its category in 2006.
