The San Javier Symphonic Band and the AGA Band join in a concert with the choirs Stella Maris Björk and Santiago Apóstol (19/09/2018)

The Symphonic Band of San Javier, which turns 10 years old, and the Musical Unit of the General Air Academy, immersed in its 75th anniversary, join in a unique concert that coincides with the 182 anniversary of the municipality of San Javier, for which also invited to the corals Stella Maris Björk, San Javier and Santiago Apóstol, Santiago de la Ribera.

The concert, which will take place on Friday, September 21 at 9:00 p.m. in the Parque Almansa auditorium in San Javier, "is very special because it has united several musical collectives of the municipality that will act together for the first time," said Councilman David David. Martínez during the presentation of the concert with the directors of the participating groups.

The director of the Music Unit of the AGA, José Manuel Castelló, advanced the program of the military band that will begin the concert with a program that includes the pasodoble "Pepita Creus", by Choví, the Slavic March by Tchaikovsky and the composition of Óscar Navarro "Hispania".

Next, the San Javier Symphonic Band will perform, which according to its director, Luis Ramón Rodríguez, will perform the march "Murcia nuestra cuna", by Manuel Ruiz Gómez;

"Danzón n ° 2", by Arturo Márquez and "Fantasía española" (Overture for symphonic band), by David Penadéz-Fasanar.

The third and last part of the concert will gather more than 90 musicians, from both groups, together with the two choirs with a program that will start with the "Salve Aviadora" and that includes the soundtrack of "1492" by Vangelis, and the composition from José Manuel Castelló himself "AGA 75", as well as "Las Corsarias", by Francisco Alonso, the song "San Javier" and "Canto a Murcia" to end with Jesús Hernández as soloist.

Inmacualda García, who has been in charge of the vocal work with the two choirs, thanked them both for the invitation "for a challenge in which the two choirs have worked with great affection".

The mayor of Culture, David Martinez, the musical directors as well as different members of the attending formations showed their enthusiasm for this concert and invited the public not to miss the chance to see about the stage about 200 people of the municipality dedicated to music who join in the same concert for the first time.
