The central track of the Plaza de España in San Javier receives the World Padel Tour from tomorrow (03/10/2018)

The central track of the Challenger Villa of San Javier of the World Padel Tour that takes place from October 1st to 7th in San Javier is ready to welcome the final tournament phase to the women's and men's finals from 09:30 am on Thursday. which will be played on the morning of next Sunday at 10am and 12pm respectively.

The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, the Councilor for Sports, Estíbaliz Masegosa and the director of the National Expansion of World Padel Tour, Luis Torres Urios visited the track this morning accompanied by Víctor Ruiz, a local player on the circuit, and Patricia Llaguno and Eli Amatriaín, couple number 5 of the world and seeds number one of Villa de San Javier Challenger Caliche Trophy.

José Miguel Luengo stressed the importance of hosting a world-renowned event in Padel in San Javier and doing it in an attractive and pioneering way, taking the central runway to the urban setting of the Town Hall Square where bleachers have been installed with capacity for a thousand people, getting a greater notoriety for the San Javier headquarters.

The mayor of San Javier pointed out the tourism promotion that this event will mean for the municipality, whose semifinals and finals are broadcast by streaming to fans from all over the world, and which according to the statistics of the organization attracts more than 30 percent of foreign public.

José Miguel Luengo highlighted the economic return of the event that contributes to breaking the summer seasonality and also indicated, as an added attraction to the San Javier headquarters, the inclusion in the central track of the final women's event.

From tomorrow, Thursday, the track will be almost permanently occupied from 09:30 to 20:00 approximately.

On Sunday, the women's final will take place at 10am and the men's final at 12pm.

The closing ceremony and awards ceremony is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. on the central court.

Coinciding with the Challenger Villa of San Javier Caliche Trophy, the local group Only Padel organized the Panchi Memorial Tournament, in collaboration with Villaescusa Sport and San Javier City Council, which will play one of its finals on Sunday, October 7 at 4:00 p.m. same track of the square of Spain, where at 18h the closing and delivery of trophies of this tournament dedicated to a great fan of the recently deceased paddle is scheduled.
