The citizens of San Javier can now pay their taxes, fees and other municipal taxes by credit or debit card at the Municipal Collection Office as announced today by the Councilor of Finance Carlos Albaladejo.
The new payment system reduces procedures and time in the payment of taxes to citizens who until now had to collect the letter of payment in the office of Collection and then go to a bank office to make the payment, explained Albaladejo.
This new payment system, which has been launched in collaboration with la Caixa and the municipal collection service, will not have any surcharge for the taxpayer, explained the municipal treasurer Teresa Aguilera.
The head of the Office of Revenue José Ginés García highlighted the good reception that the taxpayers have had for the implementation of the terminals for card payment with a total of 340 operations in the first week of operation.
The mayor of Finance, Carlos Albaladejo said that the City of San Javier "in addition to lower taxes and duties aimed to make their payment more accessible to citizens."
Albaladejo recalled that this initiative, which works successfully in the Municipal Sports Center, is added to the payment online through a payment gateway that has been running since last year.
"Now also facilitates physical payment in the office where citizens can collect and pay their bills at the same time in a single management," he added.
The start-up of the terminals for payment with cards in the Collection office has coincided with the last installment of the period of voluntary payment of the IBI whose term ends next Monday 22 October when, exceptionally, the office will also open for afternoon your attention to the public from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
