The "Región Murcia Bajo Cero" program encourages young people from the Mar Menor to practice snow sports in Sierra Nevada and Formigal (14/01/2019)

The general director of Youth, Fran Sanchez presented today in San Javier a new edition of the Murcia Bajo Cero campaign, which offers 700 places for young people between 14 and 36 years of age to travel to the ski resorts of Sierra Nevada and Formigal.

Accompanied by the councilors of Youth of San Javier, Estíbaliz Masegosa, of San Pedro del Pinatar, Javier Castejón, and of Los Alcázares, Nicolás Ruíz, the general director of Youth encouraged the young people of the Mar Menor to "join this experience that allows the practice of skiing, snow, the enjoyment of the Sierra as well as meeting young people from other points of the Region ".

The offer, with departures from different parts of the Region, includes 14 trips that go from 1 to 5 days, with everything included, and will continue until March 23.

The mayor of Youth of San Javier, Estibaliza Masegosa informed that from the Mar Menor departures will take place on February 8 from San Javier for a trip of 3 days, with two overnight stays and two days of skiing in Sierra Nevada by 169 euros

On February 2 there will be a day trip from Los Alcázares.

There will also be two shuttles with pick-ups in the three municipalities on January 19 and March 17 for one-day experiences for a price of 61 euros.

Likewise, young people of the Mar Menor can register in any other available date with departures in other points with offers such as the combination that includes a visit to the city of Granada or 5 days in Formigal.

All trips include bus transportation, accommodation, ski pass, classes, equipment and a welcome bag.

The general director of Youth, Fran Sánchez said that the campaign, which began on December 23, has 100% completed the departures held so far, and encouraged participation "in a program supported by participatory budgets, in the that investment in leisure time and book for young people is requested ".

The deadline to apply for registration in any of the trips will remain open until March 23.
