Spanish Red Cross Region of Murcia will present tomorrow Thursday May 30 in San Javier its foster care program in a talk in which they will inform and respond to issues that may arise on the figure of family care of children under the care of the regional Administration .
The Councilor for Social Services of San Javier, Estibaliza Masegosa, the president of Red Cross Spain Mar Menor, Manuel Leal and the reference technique of the program, Mariló Pérez, today encouraged "any type of family" to be interested, "without any type of commitment ", for this program that promotes Red Cross with funding from the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities.
The objective of the campaign is to increase the number of families willing to temporarily welcome minors, from 0 to 18 years old, who are protected by the Administration separated from their parents so that they can grow up in a stable family environment for a certain period of time.
At present there are 1212 children in guardianship situation by the regional Administration of which 600 participate in foster care for other families.
This campaign aims to increase, at least 100, the number of children welcomed by families who, once they decide to take the step, will receive training sessions, technical and economic support.
In the morning talk will also intervene a family of the municipality that will transfer their experience as a host family.
The event, which will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the library of San Javier, is part of a series of talks that the Red Cross offers at different points in the Region of Murcia with the general objective of creating a "culture of fostering", and giving to know and promote fostering among society as an exercise in citizen solidarity.
