The Councilor for Sports, Sergio Martínez today encouraged the residents of San Javier to participate in the âEncesta glass, we all winâ campaign, taking, until next Sunday, November 10, glass containers to any of the five shaped containers basketball ball that since yesterday have been installed in different parts of the municipality of San Javier.
Sergio Martínez recalled that it is a campaign that combines sport, through basketball, with recycling, âtwo areas in which the municipality of San Javier is a reference,â said the mayor who recalled that the residents of San Javier exceed the regional average in glass recycling.
Martínez asked the neighbors that until Sunday night they take their containers to these containers and not to the usual ones, to get the maximum kilos between the 12 municipalities of the Region of Murcia that participate in this campaign, whose prize will be the construction of a basketball court with recycled glass material, for which more kilos of glass get.
The campaign, in which the twelve most populous municipalities of the Region of Murcia participate, is organized by Ecovidrio and the Government of the Region of Murcia with the collaboration of the Murcia Basketball Federation.
The objective of increasing glass recycling is, on this occasion, the relationship of healthy habits such as sports and recycling.
The five containers shaped like a basketball, which will be the ones that count towards the prize, are located in Parque Almansa, San Javier;
Romería de San Blas Avenue, next to camping caravans;
Barnuevo esplanade, in Santiago de la Ribera;
Prinicipal Avenue, El Mirador and Puerto Tomás Maestre Street, next to Hipercor, in La Manga del Mar Menor.
