The adaptation works of Miguel Ãngel Blanco Avenue face the second section until the connection with the AP-7 (21/11/2019)

The General Director of Roads, José Antonio Fernández.

The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the Councilor for Public Services, María Dolores Ruiz, visited the urban improvement and improvement works on Miguel Ángel Blanco Avenue, an urban section of the RM 301 San Javier-Zeneta road, which gives access to AP7 and to Los Arcos Hospital, which are located in the equator of their execution.

José Antonio Fernández informed after the visit, that the first section of the works, which goes from the roundabout of the San Javier Museum to the new roundabout that has been built to give access to the industrial estates, is completed in the absence of the last details.

The General Director of Roads also informed that the authorizations of the Ministry of Development are currently being finalized to undertake the second section that goes from the new roundabout included in the project, which gives access to the AP7 motorway.

The works that will consist in the unfolding of the section between the two roundabouts with two lanes in both directions, will be carried out in a period of three months, with alternative deviations in the service roads that will prevent the traffic cut.

The works, which have involved an investment of 850,000 euros co-financed at 55 percent by the Ministry of Development and the rest by the City of San Javier, solve stormwater drainage problems, since they include underground pipeline pipes, as well as road safety, and urban and aesthetic adaptation in one of the main access roads to the town center, said Mayor José Miguel Luengo.

Luengo also pointed out that this project is an example of coordination between administrations to undertake an action that he described as "very necessary and demanded by the City of San Javier as it is a main road that had much to improve such as the accumulation of water in heavy rain episodes, or road safety since it is an area with two industrial estates on both sides in one of the busiest access roads to the center. "

The project has also included the urbanization and aesthetic improvement of the road in which the centenary pines existing in the section closest to the urban area have been respected.
