The Councilor for Women and Equal Opportunities, Ana Belén Martínez presented today the events of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women to be held in San Javier organized by the council together with the Center for Comprehensive Assistance to Women Victims of Gender Violence, CAVI San Javier.
As in the last two years, before November 25, a large group of girls, youth and adults will call attention to the victims and violence against women performing the choreographs "Dream dancing", "Tango" and "Take out the voice â€by Ruth Olmos, Judith Arteaga and Verónica Muñoz, in the event“ EmPlazArte (Art in the square) â€that can be seen in the Plaza de España in San Javier on Saturday, November 23 from 5:30 p.m.
On November 25 a public event will be held in the Plaza de España in which Mayor José Miguel Luengo will read an institutional manifesto on the occasion of the celebration of the Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, after which a minute will be kept of silence that will break with a musical performance by the Conservatory of Music of San Javier.
The act, in which a mural for free expression on gender violence will be displayed, will end with the reading of the short stories presented to the thematic contest held for the sixth consecutive year.
The coordinator of the Center for Social Services, Alicia Balsalobre recalled that the contest of micro-stories against gender violence remains open until December 8 with prizes of 250, 150 and 100 euros for the first three and encouraged to participate by consulting the bases and the publication of those already presented in sanjaviercontralaviolenciadegenero.blogspot.com.es
