The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo signed today the renewal of three collaboration agreements between the City Council and the Mar Menor Choirs and Dances group, the Friends of Bethlehem Association and the Abomar association, which will receive 3,000, 2,000 and 2,000 euros respectively.
The agreements that are framed in the line of municipal support to associations and local entities of a social and cultural non-profit nature are aimed at promoting social revitalization and promoting the projection of the work of each entity in the community.
In the case of Mar Menor Choirs and Dances, it is intended to contribute to its maintenance and especially to its regional dance school, as well as to the dissemination of its musical and flocloric activity.
Its president, Antonio Pérez, explained during the signing, that the group has contacted the direction of the Conservatory to study the inclusion of Murcian flocloric music in the teachings of the musical center.
The Association Friends of Bethlehem works these days to finalize the nativity scenes that carry their seal in the municipality, such as that of Santiago de la Ribera and that of La Marquesa, as well as that of La Grajuela and the Bethlehem of Spain “which this year culminates its stylistic transformation with news that will surprise the public â€, explained the mayor of Culture, David Martínez who accompanied Luis Riquelme, president of the Association.
Carmen Bautista, president of Abomar, signed the renewal of the agreement that in this case aims to favor the maintenance of the handicraft of the bobbin with the association's commitment to disseminate its teaching and show its work in the Encounter of bobbin sheeters organized every year in San Javier.
