The Center for Attention to Women Victims of Gender Violence in San Javier has assisted 60 women since the beginning of the confinement (02/04/2020)

The Councilor for Recruitment and Equality, Ana Belén Martínez reported today that the care services for women victims of gender-based violence continue to operate at full capacity from the CAVI, the Center for Attention to Women Victims of Regional Gender Violence, located in San Javier, where 60 women have been cared for since the beginning of the confinement.

Ana Belén Martínez recalled that this is a particularly vulnerable group in this situation in which they are forced to live 24 hours with their aggressor, which has motivated the Royal Decree-Law of March 31, on urgent measures in the field of protection and assistance to victims of gender-based violence that guarantees comprehensive care for victims considered an essential service.

The mayor of Equality reminded women victims of gender violence that the law guarantees the normal functioning of 24-hour information and legal advice, by phone and online.

The reception service in emergency centers and safe accommodation is also active, as well as monitoring by electronic means of compliance with precautionary measures and prohibition penalties in the area of ​​gender violence, as stated in the aforementioned Royal Decree.

Councilor Ana Belén Martínez recalled that the CAVI San Javier continues to provide all the usual services of psychological care, social assistance and legal advice through the phone 968 573 271, from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 and in the email sanjavier@cavis.es Martínez recalled that in any case the victims will be able to contact the security forces through 112

In the daily municipal report on the incidence of the Coronavirus in San Javier, the mayor José Miguel Luengo reported that the government team has held its first weekly telematic Government Board, a successful trial of what will be the first plenary session of the telematic Corporation to be held in April, after Easter.
