The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo today conveyed to President Fernando López Miras that the effort that the municipalities are making these days must be reciprocated with the help of the regional and national governments when adopting measures of economic support for the neighbors, to alleviate the economic situation generated by the pandemic, as an administration closer to the population.

At the end of the telematic meeting held this morning between the President and the mayors of the Region, Luengo explained that, among other measures, he proposed a review of the rise in water by the Commonwealth of the Canals of Taibilla, which would result in a Aid for the San Javier City Council that has promised to take on that rise without passing it on to the neighbors.

Luengo asked Fernando López Miras to convey to President Pedro Sánchez the need to pay the DANA aid for September "which have not yet arrived and which at this time would be of great help to the municipalities in order to be able to face the needs of the neighbors ".

Luengo began his daily appearance on the incidence of the Coronavirus in the municipality, announcing the institutional mourning to which the City of San Javier joins as a sign of mourning for the deceased due to the pandemic, followed by words of thanks and recognition to all those who from different positions they continue working for the rest.

Luengo highlighted as a positive sign the fact that in the last few days a certain stabilization has been observed in the curve of Area VIII of Health, to which San Javier belongs, which allows the ICU units of the Los Arcos hospital to be able to absorb to the sick who arrive without having to expand their posts, who in principle are prepared to triple their capacity.

Good news that should serve to continue to take extreme measures and not lower our guard, he warned.

Today's report spoke of the external disinfection work that continues to be carried out in the municipality.

The Councilor for Public Services, María Dolores Ruiz explained that 14 daily routes are operating in the most vulnerable and busiest areas marked by the health authorities and reminded residents that it is not a massive fumigation through the streets of the municipality.

María Dolores recalled that today there are three forest brigades added to the 14 daily routes that will regularly beat the streets of the municipality.

The mayor announced the next arrival of two atomizers that have been loaned by a company to intensify the disinfection work.

María Dolores Martínez spoke about other tips related to household disinfection and recalled the convenience of having a sprayer with a mixture of 1 liter of water and 30mm of bleach to use on any surface and products for daily use.

He recalled keeping a safe distance with other people when walking dogs, the obligation to collect excreta.

He also stressed the importance of not throwing the gloves we use in supermarkets to the ground, but rather the wastebaskets to avoid the possible spread of the virus.
