The actions were carried out last week, when the Civil Guard established an extensive device made up of members of the Citizen Security, Fiscal Service and Air Unit with the aim of preventing and, where appropriate, prosecuting any type of crime that could be committed in two street markets that take place in the municipality of San Javier, known as La Paloma and Drive-in markets, which usually have a large influx of people. Parallel to the established surveillance device, the civil guards carried out a series of inspections of the products offered at the street vendor stalls. While the inspection was being carried out, it was detected that several people were fleeing the place after detecting the police presence, actions that were frustrated thanks to the work of the civil guards who were in the compound with the support of the Benemérita helicopter. After intercepting the fugitives, the Civil Guard verified that they were two people who offered a large number of products of prestigious brands that were allegedly counterfeited. After obtaining all the necessary indications, the two suspects have been investigated and have been instructed to proceed as alleged perpetrators of a crime against industrial property. Civil guards seized around 500 items of clothing, including numerous sneakers and sports shirts, as well as pants and other textile pieces. The investigated, the effects seized and the proceedings investigated have been made available to the Investigating Court San Javier (Murcia).
