The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo today thanked the effort made by the management teams and all the teachers of the municipality during the past year in a meeting that he held today with the seven directors of the municipal schools and the Councilor for Education, David Martínez, to take stock of the course that ends and prepare the next, both marked by the pandemic. José Miguel Luengo offered the collaboration of the City Council to the directors of the centers of the municipality to work in a coordinated way, as happened during the confinement, facing the next course if circumstances require it.

Luengo recalled that last year was especially difficult, starting with the severity of the damage suffered, followed by the extraordinary situation caused by the health crisis, which led to a relationship that was intended to remain fluid both for possible eventualities and to address the demands.

and improvements that each center requires. Carlos Meziat director of CEIP El Mirador acknowledged that "we are closing the strangest school year in history, amidst damage and viruses" and assured that "all the teaching teams have faced it with a lot of work and tenacity".

Meziat appealed to the unit of centers, town hall and parents' associations to face the next course "that we are preparing to make it as normal as possible and the most appropriate so that security measures are maintained and allow us to carry out our work, which is the teaching ".

The next course is planned to be face-to-face, for which the centers will follow an action plan prepared by the health authorities that will give priority to the teaching work that will have to adapt to new circumstances. During the meeting, the mayor presented a bouquet of flowers and a commemorative plaque to María Dolores Griñán, who said goodbye to the management of the "El Recuerdo" school, "in gratitude for her work." Also honored was Isabel Martínez, who leaves the CEIP "Severo Ochoa" leadership and who was unable to attend this meeting which served to present Juan Carlos Muñoz who will start the course at the head of "Severo Ochoa" and María Ángeles Pérez who assumes the CEIP address "El Recuerdo".
