| The San Javier Social Services Center creates the figure of Reference Technician in COVID-19, who will be the person in charge of coordinating all the disease-related interventions | Contributing to compliance with the COVID-19 quarantine and providing help to people who need it, is the objective of the support service for family units obliged to comply with quarantine carried out by the Social Services of San Javier, where the figure of Reference Technician in COVID-19.
The position, which is occupied by a social worker, is in charge of coordinating any matter that comes to Social Services related to the disease. In the case of the support service for people in quarantine, the reference technician will be in charge of following up in contact with the Health Center and Local Police, if necessary in cases of non-compliance.
The action protocol includes urgent care to expedite care in cases where difficulty is detected in complying with the prescribed quarantine, providing immediate coverage in food and pharmacy products.
Likewise, technical support will be provided for access to other public services and psychosocial support to face the situation of isolation. These and other measures have been addressed in the meeting held by the councilors of Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa; of Health, Isidoro Miñano and of Volunteering, Isabel Madrid, involved in this support service for people in quarantine, with the medical coordinator of the San Javier health center, Salomón Rivera and the nursing coordinator, María Dolores Vidal.
Councilor Estíbaliz Masegosa pointed out that this meeting is part of the institutional coordination that the City Council and Health Area VIII maintain with the general objective of joining forces in improving the health security of the population.
