| The municipal aid, which the merchants will allocate to the Christmas campaign, comes through collaboration agreements whose objective is to boost local commerce | The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the Councilor for Commerce Héctor Verdú met yesterday with the representatives of three local associations of merchants to renew the collaboration agreements through which the City Council contributes with an aid of 3000 euros to each one, for the revitalization of the retail trade.
Two of the signatory associations were "San Javier, Shopping City", represented by its president Carlos Calvo and "San Javier, Open Center", represented by Miguel Ángel Callejas, who will allocate the municipal contribution for the "Localízate" Christmas campaign. The campaign, launched by the Department of Commerce in collaboration with merchants to encourage purchases in local stores, consists of a voucher system that benefits the customer who for each purchase of 25 euros will obtain a discount of 10 euros that the merchant will receive from the municipal aid fund.
The third association with which the collaboration agreement was renewed was that of Galerías El Flamenco, in La Manga del Mar Menor.
Its president, Mike Verbeeck thanked the municipal help that will largely go to the Christmas atmosphere and the exhibition of the Nativity Scene that is exposed every year and that this time will reach 50 meters.
