Pilar Zapata, 8M Prize affirms that gender inequality is a problem of ignorance (08/03/2016)

"The problem of equality is not gender but of ignorance. We all know that we can do the same as any man," said Pilar Zapata today after receiving the 8M Prize, awarded each year by the Commission for Equality Policy San Javier .

The award was presented by the mayor, José Miguel Luengo and the Councillor for Women and Equality, Estíbaliz Masegosa, after reading the institutional manifesto 8M, International Women's Day, a meal of living of women in the municipality, the who attended much of the municipal corporation.

The delivery of 8M Award was preceded by the reading of institutional manifesto of International Women's Day by the mayor, José Miguel Then they placed special emphasis on the persistent inequality in labor defending equal pay between women and men and reconciliation actions effective, both in the public and private sectors for women and men.
