The Family School addresses the danger of uncontrolled use of information technology by younger (18/03/2016)

Risk factors in the use of information and communications technology was the topic of the last workshop of the Municipal School of Family held yesterday, March 17, in the building of the Department of Youth given by the agent Local police of San Javier, José Manuel Navarro Carrillo.

The workshop, which had a large influx of family audience, was to warn of the problems that can lead to the uncontrolled use of information technology among children and youth, when beyond being a medium that facilitates life become an end in themselves.

Jose Manuel Carrillo recalled that through this type of technological devices are being committed numerous crimes, in addition to scams, identity theft, bullying and cyberbullying, which he illustrated with a video on a real case harassment in networks.

The problem of addiction that can generate its continued use in young people is another front for parents to be checked by security measures, preventive and control the use of technology by their children.

This workshop complements previously has taught young people 2nd, 3rd and 4th of ESO IES "Mar Menor" and College "Sacred Heart", and that the next quarter will reach the IES "Ruiz de Alda" .

The Department of Social Services, which organizes the program of the Municipal School of Family, has reported that due to the interest in this workshop, which last course was held in Santiago de la Ribera, will be repeated on 27 April at 19: 00h.
