The Local Police of San Javier has received national recognition for its work on road safety through the Medal of the Road Safety, in its category of silver, which has recently received the Chief of Police of San Javier, Salvador Angosto which it was granted by the Foundation for traffic safety (Fesvial) for their commitment to road safety.
The awards of this specific call for senior members of the police, were delivered in Aranjuez during the First National Convention on Road Safety, organized by the National Union of Chiefs and Local Police Officers (Unijepol).
The award also received the head of local police in Murcia, San Javier and Murcia being the only two winners in the region, along with police officers from other cities in Spain.
The Spanish Foundation for Traffic Safety, FESVIAL, is an independent entity that has been created as a great social work, with the aim of preventing traffic accidents, promote sustainable mobility, training and road safety education, and study accidents and investigating more appropriate strategies for prevention.
