The Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora confirmed today in San Javier that next year the expansion works of the IES "Mar Menor" will be undertaken with the construction of a module on loan from the City of San Javier solar, annexed to the existing one, in which its wide range of vocational training will focus.
The Minister has already committed to this project on a previous visit, she confirmed the news at a working meeting held today with the mayor, José Miguel Luengo in the city of San Javier in which also participated the director general of Department, María Dolores Valcarcel and the Councillor for Education of San Javier, Catalina Perez.
José Miguel Luengo thanked the Minister its commitment to San Javier and stressed the importance of this expansion will enhance the functionality of the center that can concentrate on building itself all their professional education, which in turn will expand the Conservatory of Music with attached classrooms that would leave one of the vocational training modules taught there.
During the meeting, the Mayor and the Councillor for Education moved to the Minister needs presented by the schools in the municipality with special attention to those related to accessibility.
The mayor used the visit to San Javier of the Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, who started with the reception to the participants in the Diocesan Encuentro of Students of Religion of the Region of Murcia, to ask her to sign in the Book of Honor of the municipality.
