The Minister of Family highlights the efforts of relatives of people with disabilities to drive associations in the region (15/04/2016)

The Minister Violante Thomas attended today in San Javier to the delivery of the Gold Medal of the City to the Association for the Integration of Disabled del Mar Menor (Aidemar), act in which the responsible regional highlighted "the great effort of the families of people with disabilities to drive associations in the Region of Murcia ".

Aidemar is an organization of families of young children with disabilities and has developed activities since 1982 in San Javier, with the aim of giving care to people with disabilities association.

A year later he was declared of public utility.

Since then, explained the minister, "the center has experienced a remarkable quantitative progression and qualitatively" and assumed he added, "an example of how the interests of parents have consolidated the associations in the region in the last 20 years."

Since its inception, the organization linking families has Deriving "in a structured service offering proximity to all the demands of people with disabilities and their families," he said.

The full City Council of San Javier approved unanimously in January last year to start a record for the award of the Gold Medal of the Villa to this entity, in recognition of their work.

The association, which provides services in the region of Murcia and Valencia, has become a reference resource in providing care to persons with disabilities in their geographical area.

The Minister noted that one of the values ​​of the association "is that it provides services to people with disabilities in different cycles of life, ranging from early attention to employability programs".

Services

Aidemar works with the implementation of a quality system ISO 9001-2008 and offers a comprehensive range of services starting with the Early Child Development and Care for children up to six years.

It also functions as a concerted special education for pupils aged 3 to 20 years center.

Its services also include a day center for people over 18 years of intense and permanent needs support, and another day care center and occupational therapy training for users between 18 and 60 years.

Aidemar also runs a special employment center, residential housing and respite care services, in addition to service families.
