The 28th Festival of Folklore open this year's season of summer festivals in San Javier (02/06/2016)

The 28th Festival of Folklore of San Javier will open the festival season in San Javier on 24th and 25th June.

The change of dates is the first novelty of the festival so far was held in late August.

This new edition presented this morning by the mayor, José Miguel Luengo and the Councillor for Culture, David Martinez, will leave the auditorium to be held in the Plaza of Spain, with international presence, collaboration of the theater group San Javier, and cultural support and a gastronomic huertano enclosure open during the festival, with the collaboration of the association of local hostelry.

Councillor for Culture, David Martinez announced the presence of groups "The Bushel" El Bojar, Beniaján and "The ZaragĂźel" Barrio de Vistalegre, which together with the host group, Songs and Dances Mar Menor, San Javier act on the evening of Friday, June 24 dedicated to regional floclore.

The local group will act on Saturday night June 25 dedicated to the folk group "Aragonia" of Huesca, Aragon, and training invited from Mexico "Colors of Mexico".

The presentation of the Festival, held this morning on the terrace of the City of San Javier, was attended by Salvador Carrasco, president of the Chorus and Dance San Javier, who works closely with the Department of Culture in the Festival and painter Murcia, Fulgencio Saura View author of the poster showing two huertanas to the sea "with all the energy of light Meditarráneo".

David Martinez highlighted among the new features, the installation of a huertano enclosure that simulates a barrack with his garden and typical utensils along with a typical cuisine huertana to help provide atmosphere, in a collaboration of the Department of Culture and the business association and Local restaurateurs.

Mayor Jose Miguel Luengo stood changes in the Festival, "which complements the rest of summer festivals and appealing to our roots", in line with the current government team to bring the atmosphere of the street festivals.

The signing of the painter Fulgencio Saura also follows the support policy while Murcia and pictorial cultural heritage of San Javier is enriched painters.

Luengo welcomed the illusion set by the group of Songs and Dances of San Javier to delude with this Festival "that we care, pamper and give a boost".
