The Director of Roads, Jose Antonio Fernandez Lladó today held a working meeting with the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and Town Planning, Antonio Luengo and Multiple Services, Maria Dolores Ruiz, in the municipality of San Javier, in which they have addressed various issues related to regional roads in the municipality.
After the meeting, the mayor, José Miguel Luengo said that the municipal government is determined to continue to improve access to the municipality, which involves improving roads regional ownership as has been done in the rotunda of Pozo Aledo, of entrance road Sucina, and the roundabout of El Mirador.
In connection with the entry by Pozo Aledo, the roundabout has already been modified to improve road safety, the mayor said the General Director of Roads, Jose Antonio Fernandez has undertaken to submit after the summer the draft amendment of traffic in the crossing highways, to enable the link with the Alicante-Cartagena motorway from Pozo Aledo, among other improvements.
In addition, both governments are committed to improving access by road Sucina, with the resurfacing and construction of sidewalks, while access from the highway to the roundabout at the junction of El Mirador, the split is projected to prevent condensation traffic on that stretch occurs at certain times of the year.
During the meeting, municipal officials assessed the improvements made in the airport road and the speed by the Council in responding to traffic in the roundabout Pozo Aledo, and asked the responsible road the need to continue with maintenance and improvement of roads of regional ownership in the municipality.
