Jazz San Javier reminds James Brown "The Godfather of Soul", on the tenth anniversary of his death, with a concert by The JB's, his original band, and the voice of the great singer Martha High

The evening is completed by the Trio pianist Jaume Vilaseca Catalan, with two guests: Mar Vilaseca singer and sitar master Ravi great Chari, one of the most renowned musicians of India

The pianist and composer Jaume Vilaseca Catalan Jazz San Javier debut in his last jazz project "Jazznesis II" based on the music of the British band Genesis, trio and accompanied by the young vocalist Mar Vilaseca.

The great jazz pianist fusion offer a second part of the concert by the virtuoso Ravi Chari sitar, which will present the new album recorded by the Indian musician.

"Jazznesis II" is a continuation of "Jazznesis" project Jaume Vilaseca published in 2008 by submerging the themes of the legendary progressive rock band in the Mediterranean and Latin style.

This new release, which will present in Jazz San Javier, covers the period of Genesis from the album "Trespas" 1970 to the double album "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" 1974, and is a tribute to "the rocksinfonianas atmospheres" that the band released in that reconverted to jazz improviser in a language on the melodies and harmonies of the original themes time.

Jaume Vilaseca is a versatile pianist in jazz fusion stands by its constant search of rhythms and melodies drawn from flamenco, Latin music and rock without losing the roots of jazz.

His musical curiosity transcends borders to reach India where he finds inspiration in the sitar player Ravi Chari with whom he recorded his latest album "Coming home", to be presented in the second part of the concert, after a first and fruitful collaboration in 2009 "Mumbai" an album recorded live in India disk.

Soul and classic funk flood the auditorium of Almansa Park in the second part of the night, with the expected concert of The JB's, James Brown Original Band, the group walked on stage to the "Godfather of Soul" who surrenders tribute with a full repertoire of classics like "I got You (I fell good)," "Papa's got a brand new bag" and "It's a man's man's world", among many others.

Twelve musicians on stage and an impressive force, as one would expect from one of the groups most experienced in the world soul.

The Original James Brown Band, which is the only project endorsed and supported by the foundation of the singer's family, which allocates part of its funds to the musical education of young people without resources, comes to Jazz San Javier under the direction of trombonist Tyrone Jefferson , musical director of the band since 1976, and the singer Martha High, who was lead singer James Brown since 1964, as a special guest on this show which will be hosted by Danny Ray, emcee of the group since 1960 and producer of the band .

Drummer Tony Cook, who joined the group at 197.1 will also be part of the band that will fill the stage of Jazz San Javier with twelve musicians on stage and powerful rhythmic and integrated metal sections, the latter, by trombonist Tyrone Jefferson, Hollie Farris and trumpeters Joe Collier and Jeff Watkins sax.

Rounding out the group guitarists Keith Jenkins and Rob Watson, bassist Fred Thomas, percussion George Spike and the powerful voice of singer Cynthia Moore, next to Martha High who for more than 30 years sang with James Brown and which in recent years he has also toured with saxophonist Maceo Parker, with whom he met in the early years of the band's "Godfather of Soul".
