"Macbeth" or the inner life of a murderer

Alquibla Shakespeare Theatre reminds its 400th anniversary with a co - production of the Festival of San Javier

The English playwright William Shakespeare, which celebrates the 400th anniversary of his death, breaks into the festival with one of his most famous works, "Macbeth" in the hands of veteran company Murcia Alquibla Theater in a co-production of 47 Festival Theatre, Music and Dance in San Javier, Murcia Theatres and the company itself.

Antonio Saura directs the assembly to chose the translation of Angel Luis Booming, National Translation Prize, on a text which addresses universal themes of Shakespeare ambition and guilt.

Javier Mula and Esperanza Clares, who give life to Macbeth and Lady Macberth, respectively, star in this tragedy in which he dissects evil born of lust for power and inner torture suffered by their players as a result of a cruel ambition without moral or ethical rules.

The play, written in the early seventeenth century, narrates the process lived by Macbeth, General Duncan, King of Scotland, which carried away by the prophecies of witches I e egged on by his wife Lady Macbeth, he kills the king, swollen with to initiating a spiral of violence and crimes that will end with his death at the hands of Malcolm, son of the murdered king, Malcolm, not without having experienced the punishment of remorse.

Saura launches a contemporary look on the famous story by highlighting the dramatic treatment of evil that makes William Shakespeare in this play "..that gives us the unique opportunity to share the inner life of the murderer, to conceive with him the extent of his experience and living the evil and its effects, with all its horror and mystery .. "Angel Luis Pujante explains.

The story will be told on a broad, open scenic space with bodily items moved by the scene, representing Scotland Shakespeare as a metaphor of a mentality and lifestyle impregnated savage violence.

The "sweeping" interpretations of the actors give great strength to this mount that features original music created by Salvador Martinez, member of the company since 1993. The ensemble cast is completed by Lola Martinez, Toni Olmedo and Cristina Aniorte, Julio Navarro Fernando Caride and Raul Alarcon.
