The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the Councilor for Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa met this morning in the City Hall with representatives of the laCaixa and CaixaBank Obra Social in the municipality, on the occasion of the launch in San Javier of Program of Elderly that laCaixa Social Work has been successfully developing in other parts of Spain for years.
During the meeting, CaixaBank's Business Area director in San Javier, Carlos Merelo, and the director of the local office, Alberto Montiel, along with two representatives of the Obra Social and the municipal coordinator of Social Services, Alicia Balsalobre, agreed to hold a technical meeting before the end of the year to coordinate the start-up in 2017 of the program that will start with a pilot program related to healthy activities and social participation.
The mayor, José Miguel Luengo especially appreciated the nature of this program "aimed at improving the quality of life of our elders," thanked laCaixa Obra Social its "involvement with the municipality," and offered the collaboration of municipal services for the Development and implementation of this program in the municipality.
