The local assembly Mar Menor Norte is installed for the first time in the center of San Javier in an office, located in the building of Usos Múltiples, Avenida Aviación Española, whose keys handed over today the mayor José Miguel Luengo, the regional president of Cruz Roja, Jose Cortés in an event attended by the autonomous president Faustino Herrero and the Councilor for Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa, among others.
The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo pointed out that the municipal transfer of an office, as well as the use of the common services of the building, as a training room, and conference and event hall, is in tune with the bet that Cruz Roja does By San Javier, whose representative thanked him for the work of support to the municipality, in both emergency and care situations.
José Cortés thanked the municipal collaboration to open for the first time a Red Cross office in San Javier "which will allow us to increase our services from an office that will be attended by a volunteer."
The initial work will be the sensitization and recruitment of volunteers that will allow the implementation of some of the Red Cross social intervention programs, aimed at the most vulnerable people, in a coordinated way with the Municipal Social Services.
Training and care in emergencies will be other fields of action in San Javier de Cruz Roja whose regional president, Faustino Herrero claimed "the vocation of service and destination" of the organization that comes to San Javier to get involved and help wherever necessary.
